Under the leadership of Dr. Tanweer Hussain, Director ORIC, three teams from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) showcased their expertise and ingenuity at the EPTL Competition held in Karachi on 30th October 2024.The competition, jointly organized by EPTL, HUBCO, and Lucky Electric Power Company, brought together researchers from universities across Pakistan to present innovative solutions for the sustainable utilization of Thar Coal Ash.The talented researchers from MUET proposed cutting-edge applications for the utilization of Thar Coal Fly Ash and Bottom Ash, including:
Manufacturing of Bricks and Concrete Blocks.
Treatment of Water and Wastewater.
Use of Fly ash and Bottom ash as potential source for Nutrient-Rich Soil Amendment and Water Filtering Agent.
