This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, and the Research and Development Foundation (RDF) marks a significant step towards bridging academic research and community development in Sindh on 14-11-2024.
Key Highlights of the MoU: Provide hands-on research opportunities to MUET students in clean energy and climate-resilient infrastructure. Encourage innovative ideas through idea generation workshops, supporting solutions for rural energy and infrastructure challenges. Promote research on SDGs, renewable energy, and sustainable development through seminars and forums. Facilitate students with expense allowances, internships, and certifications for impactful projects. This partnership aims to tackle energy crises and rural infrastructure issues, particularly in Tando Allahyar and Sanghar (Khipro) districts, aligning academic potential with real-world challenges to uplift underprivileged communities.
The MoU was facilitated by Dr. Faheemullah Shaikh, Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering Department, MUET, and signed by Dr. Tanweer Hussain, Director ORIC (MUET), and Arshad Ali Danwar, Acting Executive Director (RDF).
